Hi! My name is Tammy Mc Mearty and I’m really looking forward to being your lower grades teacher at Humboldt Bay Christian School. My family and I are moving to Eureka from Carmichael, CA (near Sacramento) where I was a substitute teacher at Sacramento Adventist Academy and the San Juan Unified School District. I love working with children, leading them to a closer relationship with Jesus and helping them to reach their highest potential academically.

I have taught multi-grade classrooms in Waco and Weslaco Texas as well as in Tracy, California. My husband, Matt and I met at Pacific Union College in the early 80’s where he studied Theology and I received my elementary education degree. We have three children that I enjoyed teaching/ homeschooling for the early years. Tiffany, our oldest; will be a senior at Southern Adventist University in TN. She is majoring in Spanish with secondary education. Our next oldest is Michael, he will be attending Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI as a freshman majoring in physics. Our youngest, Cherie will be a seventh grader at Humboldt Bay Christian School! She enjoys the out of doors, sports, friends and animals.

I enjoy the out of doors, going for walks and hikes in the hills, mountains or along the beach! Our family loves the majestic Redwoods. We feel very blessed that the Lord has called us to live and serve in the Humboldt area.
